Grandfather's 74th birthday dinner(:

It was my grandfather's 74th birthday dinner last Sunday and we went to this seaside place for dinner(:
They sell very fresh seafood, literally fresh out of th water and also at a cheap price!
But th environment wasn't very clean and sterilized though...so it may not suit you if you're th I only dine in posh restaurant types #justsaying

Anyway, we (11 or more people) had fishes mussels baby octopus crabs noodle vege and lots of coconut juices for just a little over RM200! That's like about SGD100???? For so much food, I say it's definitely worth it (;
But I didn't manage to snap a lot of food porn photos cuz we literally wolfed it down super quickkkk.
A little bit more about th place is that the waiters there are...what do you call that? Uhmm....cannibals. Yeah, cannibals. But they don't eat humans lol, they hunt and live in th mangroves until this boss of th restaurant recruited them to be his workers in return for proper clothing, food and shelter. It's a really cool place to visit tho. They're human just like us, but it feels very different. In one aspect is that they're much bigger in size O.O

And! I shall tell u about my waigong!
He is a man I really admire and no doubt one of my favourite relative.
I stayed w him and my waipo since I was a baby~
He lead a tough life, gone thru WW2, had a drug addict daughter who is disrespectful, lost a son due to heart attack, thought that my cousins disliked him and went thru multiple fatal surgeries or accidents.
Due to WW2, he aspired to be a terrorist LOLOL cuz he thought it was cool to be able to drop bombs (he climbed a tree after his mum camouflage him in th jungle to view th Japanese air crafts drop bombs down). But nahh, he became a rubber plantation worker, tapping rubber for almost his whole life, and being an illegal poacher.

Bt who can blame him when the kampong he lives in is very poor, they lived off a boss who provided basic neccessaties that were not enough to cover th expenses of 7kids? So he poached. He poached to provide a meal for his family, to sell for money, to earn a living.
I remember I saw him lug a wild boar back and to prevent me from looking at th gory sight, he drew a long black board across us and proceeded to slaughter th wild boar.
I was young, around 3/4 but from th draining of the blood, it spooked me w terror LOL.
But yeah he risked his life to poach for a wild boar....and monkeys. (P.S wild boar meat is superb btw)

My wai gong didn't meet my waipo thru blind date but thru a real date-date. Like, they fell in love and everything which was super rare at that time cuz normally it's arranged weddings! But probably cuz my ah tai (grandfather's mum) was more modern, she allowed it. She was spose to have bind feet, but she OPPOSED yooooo! So! That's why my wai gong and wai po super sweet tgt till now^^

My wai gong is a super fit person. He is no longer a rubber tapper, but he is still a badminton player And a gardener. He had won badminton championships around his estate before ok! :B and he loves watching my bro train for badminton. My bro is his favourite grandchild btw and my bro looks up to him like no other, partly th reason why he trains so hard for badminton.
Ps: my grandfather could do th parallel body to th floor thing by supporting his weight on a vertical pole!!! Take thatttttt!
He is now a gardener and he grow papaya lettuce parsley lady finger brinjal jackfruit banana pumpkins and a lot a lot others so we mainly get our source of vege from him~
He also keeps his own colonies of bees so we get free bottles of PURE HONEY WITH LITERALLY NO ADDED SHITLOAD OF CHEMICALS FRESH FROM THE COMB. Industries have now lost to my waigong hehehe...

So yes! This is my great awesome respectable wai gong. He is too awesome to be summarized into one small blog post and I specially took time off today to blog about him!
I love you wai gong<3
