4th July 1962

On this day,

A housewife w a simple cotton dress draped around her was on th motorbike with her husband trying to get her to the ER of the local hospital ASAP.
The sun was beating down ferociously, buckets of sweat were crawling and dripping down her ears and chin from underneath the helmet.
But none of this could bear the horrible crunching pain in her lower abdomen.

Hugging her enormous belly, she moaned in pain. Contractions were so strong that she could not even try to hold back hence recoil away and let nature take its course.
Finally, they found a parking lot for their chuggy motorbike. While getting down the bike, she felt her baby crowning right there in the parking lot. Before she knew it, she was trying to keep both her thighs clamped up as tight as possible.
But there, right there at that very spot. A baby slipped through and she caught it in her arms in the Nick of time.

Th wail echoed through her ears as she stare into the eyes of a newborn, hearing the sound of a new cry. This baby, now has a baby called Licy Lee.

Ok lahh th baby was my laoba lahh! HAHAHA th lady was my ahma! But she passed away not long ago....

ANYWAY!

BEHOLD! It's my dad's birthday today!!!
I felt really unfilial cuz it totally slipped my mind until I got back from school and my brother told me about it!

But of course I tried to do what I can in that few minutes before we head out for dinner lahh!

I made a card and and and, PAINSTAKINGLY took a video of it! It's a special video ok cuz is like, animated liddat one!

THEN IDIOT IG COULDN'T UPLOAD IT UP.

Hear that big gush sound?
Yepp those were my hardwork down th drain.
Heart pain.

Mum decided to treat all of us to Swensens!!
That's one strike across my wishlist yayyyy!!!
It was my virgin experience ok!

At 51, I regret to say.... I'm afraid when I have th financial capability to bring my parents around for vacation, he would be too weak to walk around much:(((

But 51, I must say my dad has always been so humorous and positive! He has high expectations in everything, but he doesn't put you down even if you don't hit it. He would encourage you and remind you of what you should focus on because he doesn't want us following his steps.
I love him to bits.

In th past when I was a kid and during sleep time, I would always always hug his arm to sleep.
NO MATTER WHAT, I must have smth touching him before I can sleep. Even if it meant holding just one finger cuz he gave me security.
I remember me crying when he had to work night shifts.

Thinking back, he is such a hardworking man(:
